Welcome
This site is a collection of resources, information and columns written and collected by the staff of the American Guitar Institute™. It is our hope that we can make information about advanced music easier to find. We teach private lessons for guitar, bass and drums. We are located in Bartlett, TN, in the same building as Guitar Center Memphis. That's on Highway 64 at Germantown Parkway, just off of I-40, caddycorner from Wolfchase Mall. Whether you are an advanced, intermediate or even a beginner player we can give you the music instruction you need. We teach anyone from the ages 12 and up. The American Guitar Institute™ takes a no nonsense approach towards teaching the guitar, bass and drums. Most music teachers in Memphis have no clue how to teach, this is where we are much different. Our teachers are experienced, professional teachers. We realize that you are interested in music lessons because you want to improve your playing. We can help you. Let us show you how different we are from any other teacher by offering you a free half hour lesson. Also feel free to check out our columns anytime free of charge. We hope we can help you obtain your musical goals. We want you to be a much better musician than the average player.
