Ted Greene I was deeply saddened when I found out that Ted Greene passed away from a heart attack. Ted was one of the best. From knowing Shawn Lane over the years he always spoke highly of Ted's music and books. Shawn was convinced that Ted's album which is long out of print was one of the best peices of guitar works ever. Sadly I never actually got to meet Ted, and I never got to hear any of his recordings except for once at Shawns house years ago, but I can say that his books have made a huge impact on me as a musician over the years. I make all of my students buy chord chemistry, and I tell them that any chord questions they could ever have is in that book. If you are ever serious about playing jazz, or just being a better musician you would be a fool not to check out his books. His teachings are all in the books, what a wonderful influence. From the people I have talked to that knew Ted they all say he was a kind and loving human being. Ted will be deeply missed.
